Employee Resource Groups are a key initiative of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. They are voluntary, employee-led and sanctioned by the company. All Amedisys employees are welcome to join any or all groups to foster a sense of belonging to the company and one another. Thus far, Amedisys has launched the following groups to date:

Amedisys strives to create an organizational culture and climate in which every individual is valued, all team members have a sense of belonging with one another and to the organization and feel empowered to do their best work. It is critical that all team members feel they can bring their full selves to work, unlocking their full potential.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council
In 2020, the Amedisys leadership team committed the organization to advance DEI at the company, and so created the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, which works to address the following:
- Ensuring an inclusive working environment free of discrimination at all stages
- Building capacity and competency to lead and manage a diverse workforce
- Ensuring equal access to professional growth and advancement opportunities
- Providing education and training to drive inclusion behaviors and foster equity
Meet the 2022-2023 DEI Council Leaders
Philip Nalaboff, Senior Vice President of Operations for the Central Home Health Region, serves as Chair of the DEI Council and Bridget Kaigler, Senior Director of Tax, serves as its Co-Chair.
Both leaders share a deeply rooted passion for this work and will bring greater action, partnership and a true spirit of inclusion to Amedisys. Phil and Bridget are joined by 21 other caregivers from across the organization to advance the cause.

Employee Resource Groups
Global Black Community ERG
The Global Black Community ERG is an open forum and safe environment for Black/African American employees to voice issues and concerns, promote and affirm talents through recruitment, retention, mentorship and professional development. This ERG holds quarterly meetings, leadership trainings and celebrates key moments in American history.
AmediYAS (LGBTQIA+) ERG
The AmediYAS ERG works to cultivate a culture in which all LGBTQIA+ employees can bring their authentic selves to work in all settings and allies and advocates can support them. Our goal is to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices internally and externally; to promote recruitment, engagement and retention efforts and to support advocacy efforts to solve issues facing the community nationally. The group hosts quarterly meetings and a book club.
The disAbilities ERG
The Amedisys disAbilities ERG works to raise awareness, erase stigmas and reduce unconscious biases around disabilities, promote available resources, empower employees to be their authentic selves and increase productivity through confidence and understanding and promote inclusive hiring efforts.
The Veterans ERG is an open forum and safe environment for all veterans and military spouses at Amedisys. The group works to promote the recruitment, engagement and retention of veterans and military spouses and to support their unique needs, all while creating an authentic sense of community.
